These taco cups are so cute, taste amazing, and are SO easy to make, too! I love that they easily hold the ingredients without letting all of the toppings drop on your plate. Ha! And, after you bake the taco meat and cheese so it’s all melty, everyone in your family can customize their taco cups with their favorite toppings. These would be great for game day snacks, too! How to Make Taco Cups

I like that this recipe uses normal taco ingredients; you don’t have to buy anything special!

Ingredients for Taco Cups

  • Street Taco Sized Tortillas
  • Ground Beef
  • Taco Seasoning
  • Water
  • Shredded Cheese – We used Mexican Cheese, but you can use any kind you like best.
  • Taco Toppings – We like lettuce, pico de guyo, black olives, lime juice, cilantro, sour cream, and guacamole.
  • Note, you will also need a muffin pan!

Instructions for Taco Cups

[TAG1]

First, preheat the oven to 400 and cut the tortillas into four equal quadrants. Cook the ground beef on medium-high on the stove top until completely cooked through and browned. Strain the juice from the meat. Prepare the meat for the tacos according to the package of taco seasoning. (Usually you will combine 3/4 cup water with the ground beef and add the taco seasoning.) Mix well and let simmer on low for five minutes.

[TAG2]

Next, place four pieces of tortilla into each muffin tin so that they make a cup shape and completely cover the inside of each tin. After that, place about 1/4 cup of taco meat into each cup. Sprinkle on 3 TBSP of shredded cheese on each taco cup.

[TAG3]

Place in oven and bake for 9-10 minutes, or until each taco cup begins to turn golden brown around the edges.

Lastly, add the taco toppings to each cup! I added lettuce, pico de guyo, black olives, lime juice, cilantro, sour cream, and guacamole. Serve immediately.
