Smart Toys and Games launches spring/summer hero titles Pirates Crossfire and Apple Twist
Smart Toys and Games has released a slate of new spring/summer launches as the firm continues to ride a wave of popularity in strategy and puzzle games that sprang out of the nation’s lockdowns this year and last.
The newest collection from the brain game specialist features titles including Pirates Crossfire and Apple Twist, each billed as hero items for the firm’s seasonal portfolio. Both employ the unique strategy game mechanics for which Smart Toys and Games has become recognised.
Leading the line-up is Pirates Crossfire, a title that challenges players to navigate their ships and make decisions on whether to engage in battle or keep the peace and avoid total war. The game, aimed at players aged seven years old and up, includes 80 challenges across its four different playing modes.
Meanwhile, Apple Twist sees players attempt to feed three hungry caterpillars, each of them wanting a piece of the same apple. Players will need to bend them into the right shape in a game the requires some flexible thinking. Not only are the caterpillars adjustable, but the fruity game board can also be twisted.
With 60 challenges from easy to expert to complete, Apple Twist is suitable for kids aged five and upwards.
Commenting on the new Spring launches, Karen Clarke, UK brand director at Smart Toys and Games, said: “We are really excited to unveil our hero launches for Spring/Summer. At Smart, we are always thinking of new ways to challenge the mind and make it fun! Thanks to our unique game mechanics, our games will keep children (and adults) engaged for hours – you will want to complete all the games in one go.”
