Garage design can encompass a wide range of options depending on client needs. Winners of the 2020 Top Shelf Design Awards garage category noted a few of those demands with everything from storage space for a high-end corvette to mudrooms and more.   Cynthia Padden, Valet Custom Cabinet & Closets, “Toscana Gold”: A stunning showcase Toscana Gold garage with 8' high, deep Edgewood Textured Toscana cabinets and Cherry Red Acrylic accented workbench. All cabinets are complimented with a mix of 12-inch gold and black bar pulls along with 1-1/2 inch gold knobs.  The corner half-blind cabinet allows for full space utilization and custom upper cabinets float over the stainless refrigerator and large American Security gun safe creating a seamless look. All end cabinets are completed with matching end panels and expertly scribed to the adjoining walls.  The 9-foot long special-order workbench is 1-3/8-inch Maple Butcher Block extended 33-inch deep with Cherry Red Acrylic upper doors with under cabinet lighting. The Toscana cabinets are complimented with freshly painted walls complete base molding, gorgeous wood garage doors and beautiful Graphite Grey 1/4-inch Chip Epoxy Floor.     David McKim, Closet Envy, “Alyssa’s Garage”: A previous garage client called us to help out in her new house. This house was already familiar to us as we did the closets for the previous owner. This customer needed a garage to park two cars in, as well as "tons of storage", and a mudroom area where their kids can put on shoes, store their school bags, and shoes too. The kids' sports gear needed a home also, along with bikes for each family member.  In addition to the slatwall, overhead racking, and cabinets, we also did an epoxy floor to make the space brighter, cleaner, and properly finished.    Bill Curran, Closet Organizing Systems, “Start Your Engines”: The custom cabinetry system was designed for a 2.5 car garage space area under the homes main living quarters. This would be the 2nd garage storage space for the homeowner's ultra-limited-edition C7R Corvette which was modeled after grand tourer racing car built by Pratt Miller Engineering and Chevrolet and is 1 of only 500 production vehicles produced. The garage area would also be the future storage space of a newly redesigned matching yellow 2020 C8 Corvette which is now on order.   Shaun Oriold, Closet Envy, “The Girliest of Girly Garages”: The custom cabinetry system was designed for a 2.5 car garage space area under the homes main living quarters.
